Most Popular Instagrams 2015

Dec 2015

End of the year reviews are part of the process to access where you’ve been and help in setting your goals for the for the year ahead. One of the reasons I connect with Instagram so well is that I love having the chance to review trips anytime at the tip of my fingers. Looking at the most popular Instagrams  2015 is eyeopening and can give you all kinds of tips and insights for the future.

A recent trip to Salem, MA with my sisters on an unseasonably warm day. Exploring the harbor and waterfront was a pleasure.

Who doesn’t love looking at sparkly decorations in the holiday windows.

I am so lucky to live in a city where the best of so many food products are right at my fingertips.

Going for the arty shot here-I loved the way the clouds reflected in the water-almost looking like smoke in the photo.

One of the top photos I was looking for on my shot list for Ireland was a thatched roof cottage. While I loved exploring the countryside solo by car, the roads are so narrow, they leave very little room for pulling over to get a shot. I found this on the last day, and there was a perfect spot to quickly park and jump out to capture it.

As I looked through my feed, there were more than a few shots of oysters. This was an especially tasty batch from my trip to Ireland in the fall.

Another picture perfect day 30 miles out to sea.

Sunsets on Nantucket are always a popular posting on Instagram.

Boston Public Market finally opened and I am proud to say it is the first indoor market in the country to feature only local vendors. Make sure to have it on your itinerary should you be visiting the city.

Barcelona and I have a date for a repeat performance. I barely scratched the surface of all there is to see there.

I was so grateful for the opportunity to travel to Cuba so shortly after the trade restrictions had been lifted.

The year started with the winter from hell in Boston. No wonder I wanted to get out of town so often!  Let’s hope it’s not a repeat performance!

It’s been a great year with Instagram. I’ve seen my followers double and 2016 I hope will be a repeat. I look forward to continuing to share my travels with you and can’t thank you enough for all of your support and following along.

Best Wishes in the New Year!

  2. Wonderful photos – they remind me that I need to do a better job with my own Instagram account. My fav is the one captured “Good morning. Feels like it’s going to be a great day!” Indeed it does and I hope it was!

Jenny-The best part of the recap is reliving all of those adventures. The post took me an extra long time, as I loved traveling back on the trips through my photos!

  5. Lovely shots! I didn’t realize that there were that few thatched roof cottages left… great look back. Happy 2016!

Rossana-Like you, I was shocked when I did the research. I hope they are able to preserve the ones that still exist, they are so charming and full of historical context.

A great mix here! I especially like your gorgeously colorful capture for International Women’s Day, and the up-close-and-personal view of oysters. Have a wonderful 2016!
