Innovation at Boston’s Envoy Hotel

Apr 2016

One of the fastest growing neighborhoods in Boston is the hotter than hot waterfront. Called by a number of different names, the Seaport district is home to scores of hip, new restaurants, the ICA, Boston’s Design Center and residential real estate, often sold before it even hits the market. Located right in the center of it all, it’s no wonder that guests find innovation at Boston’s Envoy Hotel. Boasting a coveted waterfront vantage point, Forbes named the property Best New Hotel in Boston in January 2016.

Massachusetts Trustees of Reservations

Apr 2016

Imagine an organization whose main mission is to celebrate and protect the distinctive charms of Massachusetts. For everyone. Forever. Pretty lofty ambition, right? Our state is the fortunate home for  The Trustees of Reservations,  an organization in Massachusetts that cares for nearly 25,000 acres around the state. Their mission is to share “the irreplaceable natural and cultural treasures” that the organization cares for with everyone. After more than 100 years, climate change is altering the more than 100 places that the Trustees care for. The goal is to spur a new generation to care about conservation and a sustainable environment for these properties.

Eco-Tourism in South Florida State Park

Apr 2016

John D. MacArthur State Park is a hidden gem where you can find eco-tourism alive and well in south Florida.  While there are 161 state parks in the state of Florida, this is the only one in Palm Beach County.  Considered an environmental treasure, two miles of pristine beach preserve the natural, subtropical habitat. Sadly, these areas are almost nonexistent along the south Florida coast because of all the real estate development. The park was established in 1989 and is comprised of 438 acres between the Atlantic Ocean and the Ft. Worth Lagoon on a barrier island that harbors seven species of plants and twenty-two species of animals designated as threatened or endangered.
