Chase Away the Winter Blues at The Post Ranch Inn-Big Sur, CA

Right about now I’ve got a bad case of Cabin Fever! Mind you, I love the winter, but the boots, layers of clothing, static electricity and shovels, I’ve had enough. A piece of Big Sur is just what the doctor ordered.  What better way to eliminate the winter blues than my favorite big blue ocean.  Yes Please…

Situated on 100 acres about 150 miles South of San Francisco is the Post Ranch Inn.  Rated one of the top 500 hotels by Travel and Leisure, it sits dramatically over a cliff in Big Sur with a spectacular view of the Pacific and surrounding mountains.  Guests can explore nature, nearby Monterrey and Carmel, or indulge in spa treatments and a yoga class.  Meditation, guided hiking and a fitness room are all available for those who can tear themselves away from the relaxing setting of the unique cliff side rooms.  Individual structures hug the coastline and take full advantage of the panoramic views. Designed by Mickey Muenning, who is known for his deep commitment to nature, the Inn feels like it is at one with the surrounding environment.  Native plants, solar panels, a biodegradable cleaning system and organic bedding are just a few of the responsible elements the team have incorporated into Post Ranch.
